CentOS 5 나만의 서버를 설정해보자 (네임서버 : named.conf) :: 2009/01/27 04:37

* 이것은 극히 개인적인 경험을 토대로 쓴 내용이기 때문에, 참고만 하시길.
..

시작은 그랬다. 네이버에서 이벤트를 통해 2년짜리 도메인을 얻고부터, 나만의 홈페이지를 가지고 싶었던 것이다..-_-;

물론 사이트에서 지원하는 네임서버를 사용하면 쉽게 포워딩할 수 있지만, 역시 자기손으로 뚝딱뚝딱 만들어야 진정한 공학인(?)의 길을 갈 수 있다는...(오지마..)

나만의 서버를 만들기 위해 가장 우선적으로 손을 댄 것은 바로 네임서버 셋팅이다.
윈도우 서버 2003이나 유닉스중 원하는 것을 선택하겠지만, 내가 선택한 것은
CentOS 라는 redhat 기반의 졸래 멋진 운영체제이다.

네임서버를 설정하기 위해서는 BIND라는 프로그램을 사용해야 한다. (윈도우 서버 역시 bind를 사용하지만, 그래픽적이라서 좀더 운영이 편리한 것으로 알고 있다.)

나는 CentOS 5 버전을 구하여(지나가다 줏었음.) 서버용으로 설치했다.
(설치는 어떤식으로 해도, 필요한 패키지를 찾아 설치하면 된다. 하지만 편의를 위해서는 서버용으로 설치하고, sellinux는 사용하지 않는걸 추천한다. 별로 보안의 도움도 안되는듯 한데 귀찮게 군다.)

설치가 완료되면 바로 셋팅해야지!! ㄱㄱ씽~
우선 버전 확인을 해보자

[root@localhost /]# more /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.2 (Final)

만약에 방화벽이 설정되어 있으면, DNS포트인 53번 포트가 막혀있기 때문에 이부분을 뚫어줘야 한다.

[root@localhost ~]# service iptables stop
Flushing firewall rules:                                   [  OK  ]
Setting chains to policy ACCEPT: filter                    [  OK  ]
Unloading iptables modules:                                [  OK  ]

(따로 tcp/udp 53번 포트를 열어줘도 된다.)

이제 bind를 설정하자.

bind는 버전에 따라 다르겠지만, centOS 5에서 기본적으로 설치된 bind는 9.3.3 버전일 것이다.

[root@localhost ~]# locate named.conf
/usr/share/doc/bind-9.3.4/sample/etc/named.conf

즉, sample을 제공한다. named 서버를 쉽게 설치하기 위해서 이 sample을 기본 뼈대로 새롭게 구성해보자.

#cp -rf /usr/share/doc/bind-9.3.4/sample/etc/* /var/named/chroot/etc/
#cp - rf /usr/share/doc/bind/9.3.4/sample/var/named/* /var/named/chroot/var/named/

원래 예전에 bind버전에서는 chroot 폴더를 사용하지 않고, /var/named/ 에 모든 zone파일과 named.conf 파일을 몽땅 넣었다. 하지만 보안상의 문제로 인하여,
named.conf파일은 /var/named/chroot/etc 폴더로 넣고,
zone파일 역시 /var/named/chroot/var/named에 따로 보관한다.

즉, chroot라는 보안상 폴더가 만들어진 것이다. 내부적으로 zone파일 경로를 인식하기 때문에, 실제 named.conf 파일에서 경로 설정할때 헷갈리지 않도록 주의하길 바란다.

이제 named.conf 를 설정해보자.

일단,
//key ddns_key
//{
//      algorithm hmac-md5;
//      secret "use /usr/sbin/dns-keygen to generate TSIG keys";

이렇게 주석처리 해준다.

그외에 view라는 개념을 알아야 하는데, bind의 새로운 설정 개념으로, 내부적으로 외부적으로 나눠서 설정할 수 있다.... 간단하게 폴더로 나눠버린다 생각하면 될꺼다.

전체적으로 named.conf 를 확인해보면,
options {} //옵션 설정 부분. 보안상 설정이 가능하다.
logging {} //로깅을 설정하고 저장될 파일 설정 가능
view "localhost_resolver" //이 부분은 cache-only 서버로만 사용할 경우 쓰인다고 한
                                  //다. 정확한 용도는 모르겠다.
view "internal" //내부에서 질의에 대한 대답을 해준다.
view "external" //외부에서의 질의에 대한 대답을 해준다.
이렇게 나눠 볼 수 있을 것이다.

여기서 한가지만 더 알아보자.
acl 정의에 대해서다.

미리 정의된 ACL은,
none - IP주소없음
any - 모든 IP주소
localhost - 로컬호스트의 IP주소
localnets - 로컬호스트의 인터페이스가 속한 네트워크 

즉, 우리가 설정중 아무데서나 갖다쓰는 none; 이나 any; 는 모두 미리 정의된 것이며, 우리 스스로 acl "명칭" {  IP주소 대역 } 을 줄 수 있다는 점이다.
이걸 통하면 좀더 보안상 좋은 서버를 만들 수 있을 것이다.

이제 좀 무식하게 따라 해볼까?

이것은 기존에 복사해온 named.conf 에 추가해주거나 또는 주석을 달아줄 부분이다.
한마디로 최소한의 설정이다.(보안상 별로인 것으로 알고 있다.)

이제 named.rfc1912.zones 파일에 zone파일을 추가하고 설정만 해주면 기본 named 서버는 돌아갈 것이다. 그부분은 다음에 정리할란다.
